White Resident Decides to Fight a Black Amazon Driver and Gets Knocked Out

A white resident in Newark, New Jersey, picked a fight with a Black Amazon driver, but the tables turned quickly. Within minutes, he was knocked down, and his SUV was stolen in broad daylight. The chaotic scene, caught on video, spread fast online.

According to Atlanta Black Star, the argument started when the man, wearing a “Kiss me I’m Irish” shirt, jumped out of his SUV and confronted the delivery worker, who was in uniform and appeared to be on the job. Both men blocked traffic as they argued on the sidewalk.

Nobody knows how the argument started, but the fight escalated fast. The Amazon driver landed a punch that sent the older man crashing to the ground. At that same moment, a bystander saw the SUV with its door open and keys inside, slid behind the wheel, and sped away.

Onlookers immediately pointed it out. “They took your car, bro,” one shouted as the man struggled to stand. The Amazon driver, still fired up, dared him to continue. But the man’s focus had already shifted. But the man, looking disoriented, muttered, “They stole my car?” before stumbling away.

Commenters online were quick to weigh in, with most siding with the delivery worker. Many pointed out that gig workers, especially Black and other non-white drivers, often face harassment while working. Surveys show they are nearly twice as likely as white workers to say they feel unsafe while working.

Others reacted with humor, calling it instant “karma.” “I have been waiting for this day that someone gets their car stolen during road rage. Finally,” one person wrote. Others joked, “It was a Prime opportunity for the guy to take his car,” while someone else added, “he delivered.”
